We have an incredible opportunity for a full-time Lead Content Developer. Join our team to help drive our knowledge journey and support our teams in creating the best experiences for our clients.

OVERVIEW:

You will work as an integral part of our GlobalView Knowledge Management (KM) team, using authoring and component content management systems to author and edit content adhering to ADP's authoring standards while also being an advocate for the client and associate experience.

You will take a lead role in managing initiatives to meet the information needs of our clients and associates by producing accurate, concise, and usable content, including business processes, how to articles, troubleshooting guides, overviews, online help, and others. You will work closely with corporate teams, business partners, content developers, IT partners, project teams, training teams, and other subject matter experts to ensure high-quality deliverables.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Represent GlobalView KM at the Enterprise level to influence roadmap and ensure business unit needs are met.
  • Partner with other regions to ensure global content alignment.
  • Responsible for leading projects and assisting with coordination of work done by supporting team members.
  • Act as an expert regarding authoring technology and content development.
  • Document team KM processes based on evolving technology and business needs.
  • Troubleshoot issues and report to enterprise resources to drive resolution.
  • Produce and analyze knowledge management key metrics to drive improvements in tool features and content presentation to associates.
  • Leverage feedback from user surveys and lead focus groups to gain insights to drive tool enhancements.
  • Manage documentation projects and request submissions.
  • Create/edit/manage content for the GlobalView business unit in the enterprise content management system while ensuring adherence to enterprise style standards.
  • Apply enterprise content strategy and principles to develop concise, consistent, high value content deliverables.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of user content needs, gather requirements and estimates for deliverables, partnering with product owners and other stakeholders in the process.
  • Partner with Subject Matter Experts to obtain information and content validation.
  • Report progress of content deliverables to stakeholders and adhere to timelines.
  • Demonstrate domain, tool, and authoring expertise, and provide informal mentoring to colleagues when need arises.
  • Collaborate with content owners to validate knowledge and foster content reuse.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 8+ years of experience in knowledge management/content development/technical writing required.
  • Understanding of knowledge/content management best practices and content lifecycle management.
  • Deep understanding of knowledge management systems, search engine optimization (SEO) and taxonomy.
  • Knowledge of DITA and XML component content management systems.
  • Strong knowledge in structured based authoring and information typing.
  • Experience leading projects and assisting with coordination of work done by supporting team members.
  • Ability to manage content deliverable schedules.
  • Strong communication & collaboration skills.
  • Strong writing skills (must provide examples).
  • Self-starter and ability to multi-task.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • IXIASOFT highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with one or more of the industry standard style guides (The Chicago Manual of Style, Associated Press Stylebook, The Elements of Style)
