AccountStaff is currently looking for a Senior Accountant to manage an important set of varied accounting responsibilities. Candidate must have experience working on government projects/accounting experience.Job Details:

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain general ledger integrity by independently reviewing financial transactions to ensure accurate posting.
- Propose and post journal entries as appropriate.
- Prepare month-end trial balance, balance sheet, income statement, cash flow and other financial reports for month-end close.
- Enhance departmental efficiency through process change, technological upgrades and other project related work in conjunction with the Controller.
- Prepare banking paperwork, detailed reconciliations, and other financial reports.
- Prepare and file tax forms.
- Participate in and assist with annual and special purpose audits.
- Administer website access, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Education and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3-7 years experience in a larger accounting team.
- Excellent MS excel skills
