This is a Senior Executive Service Tier 1 position. Salaries for Tier 1 positions range from $171,268 - $204,000.This position is in the Senior Executive Service, a small elite group of top government leaders.

ECQ 4 - BUSINESS ACUMEN: This core qualification involves the ability to manage human, financial, and information resources strategically.
ECQ 5 - BUILDING COALITIONS: This core qualification involves the ability to build coalitions internally and with other federal agencies, state and local governments, nonprofit and private sector organizations, foreign governments, or international organizations to achieve common goals.
TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS (TQ): All applicants must submit written statements (narrative format) of accomplishments that would satisfy the technical qualifications. You must address each technical qualification separately. Please limit your written statements to 2 pages per technical qualification.
The incumbent must process comprehensive professional knowledge and subject matter expertise in acquisition principles, methods, concepts, theories, and applications; modeling and simulation technology and practices; technology transfer; acquisition policy and strategies; and business administration and management coupled with a proven ability and Professional level managerial experience.
1. Demonstrated ability and experience as a life cycle program manager, to include development, production, and sustainment operations of a complex weapon systems development and acquisition program, with command and control, battle management, and communications elements and/or interfaces. This includes demonstrated ability and experience in systems integration, interoperability testing and evaluation, and engineering program assessments.
2. In depth knowledge of DoD acquisition practices and policies, directives, regulations, and public laws as applied to joint and combined weapon systems acquisition programs. This includes an expert knowledge of the technological, procurement, and acquisition processes that go into procurement, fielding, and sustainment of major DoD weapon systems programs comprised of multiple systems and organizations.
3. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with high level officials and diverse partners including combatant commands, the services and OSD organizations on missile defense interests and viewpoints to achieve consensus on goals and objectives for a complex Missile Defense System.
