RESPONSIBILITIES: Kforce has a client in Maryland Heights, MO that is seeking a seasoned Data Engineer (Scala) to work in their STL office 3 days a week, 2 days remote on a hybrid rotation. Duties: * Functional programming in Scala with a background in Java * Working with spark for data engineering but still using scala functionally REQUIREMENTS: * Scala * Spark * Hadoop/HDFS * HBase (or Mongo) * Hive * Kafka * Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment Nice to Have: * Java background
