Description:

We are seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer (EE) to join our client's team and support construction and renovation efforts for for a direct-hire role at the Department of Veterans Affairs at the Washington DC VA Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administration of construction, design/build, engineering, and facilities management complex-construction projects.

  • Administer construction, design/build, engineering, and facilities management complex-construction projects.
  • Provide pre-design phase services, design phase services, procurement phase services, construction services, claims services, administration services, and technical specialty services.

Requirements:

  • Must be eligible and able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance (pass a federal background check) and complete the necessary processes to receive a VA Personal Identity Verification (PIV) badge.
  • Possess a degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution of higher learning.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience in both design and construction.

Professional Experience / Qualifications:

  • Quickly understand and master the requirements of local, state, and federal jurisdictions.
  • Possess strong communication, language, and software skills.
  • Proficiency in Building and Other Code and permitting requirements.
  • Familiarity with materials, methods, and construction processes.
  • Proactively identify and communicate any violations or potential impacts, assisting in preparing and updating the risk management plan.
  • Review, prepare, and make professional recommendations on scope of work documents, submittals, and proposed changes.
  • Participate in the task order Quality Assurance Surveillance Program and other contract requirements.

The proposed salary range is between $125,000.00 to $135,000.00 annually, (commensurate with experience).
