Description:

Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. In this specialized assignment, you will focus on creating manufacturing work instructions and procedures, with a key responsibility of converting them from the current instruction system. The role involves improving manufacturing processes and procedures based on LEAN assembly principles. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will plan sequences of operations, specify procedures for assembly, dis-assembly, soldering, component removal/installation, coating, and other tasks related to basic material preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety:

    • Maintain compliance with all safety regulations.
    • Proactively foster a safe working environment.
    • Comply with safety audits.
  • Quality:

    • Promote a culture of 100% quality in manufacturing processes.
  • Process Efficiency:

    • Provide direct feedback to build and design processes.
  • Product Compliance:

    • Create, maintain, and improve work instructions (e.g., planning, AWI, OSOPs).

Skills Required:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Skills Preferred:

  • Production background/electronics background.
  • Basic knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a relevant field of specialization (Electronics or manufacturing environment).
  • Experience with CAD or other types of visual aids.
  • Experience in creating detailed work instructions, preferably using an MES-type system.
  • Technical certificate or College degree in Mechanical or Electrical disciplines.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 4 years of work experience in a relevant field.

Experience Preferred:

  • Experience in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Computer Science, or Industrial Engineering disciplines. Experience with Aegis FactoryLogix is a plus.

Education Required:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent four years of work experience.
