About the Position: This position is located within US Army Aviation and Missile Command, Deputy Chief of Staff, GS (Operations), Office of the G3; located in Redstone Arsenal, AL.

The position may be filled at either grade level (GS-09 or GS-11). If filled at the GS-09 grade level, there is promotion potential to the GS-11.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. GS-09: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) providing HR management advisory and technical services on substantive organizational functions and work practices to managers; 2) monitoring automated reporting systems and developing a variety of reports; 3) providing administrative support functions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-07) or equivalent pay band.
OR
Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Business Administration, Business Management or Human Resources.
OR
Combination of education and experience.

GS-11: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) providing HR management advisory and technical services on substantive organizational functions and work practices to managers; 2) monitoring automated reporting systems and developing a variety of reports; 3) providing administrative support functions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-09) or equivalent pay band.
OR
Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Business Administration, Business Management or Human Resources..
OR
Combination of education and experience.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the second lower grade or equivalent (GS-07 for GS-09 and GS-09 for GS-11).
