Description:

NEH is an independent grant-making agency of the government dedicated to supporting research, education, preservation, and public programs in the humanities.

Requirements:

To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying.

At the GS-9 level Qualified candidates must possess a master's or equivalent graduate degree. or
2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree. or LL.B. or J.D., if related; or 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-7 level or equivalent experience.

Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, for example: Creating content for social media; assisting in developing communication strategy; writing and research for communications material; monitoring digital metrics and creating reports; implementing audio, video, and visual information strategies.

At the GS- level-11 Qualified candidates must possess: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-9 level or equivalent experience; or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.

Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, for example: Creating content for social media; assisting in developing communication strategy; writing and research for communications material; monitoring digital metrics and creating reports; implementing audio, video, and visual information strategies. Developing new information such as news briefings, digital and video assets and media for conferences and meetings with non-profit organizations.
