This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to do the work of a Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic without more than normal supervision: 1) Repairing, maintaining, and overhauling complex systems on a wide assortment of heavy mobile equipment and specialized equipment and systems in accordance with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic principles; 2) Diagnosing and troubleshooting malfunctions in heavy mobile equipment; 3) Conducting functional and performance tests on completed work assignments.
