In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Must have at least 2 years of progressively responsible experience in administrative assistant type work which has provided comprehensive computer skills using standard MS office type automation software to include MS Office, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. Experience must have provided the ability to select, arrange and compose materials to support the duties and responsibilities of the position. Must be able to work independently. Must have knowledge of an organization and its staff sufficient to independently perform such duties and responsibilities listed in the position guide. Must have experience in tracking controlled documents to have the capability to perform duties at the level of the position. Basic IT skills are preferred. Must be able to perform general maintenance and repairs. Must have demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, including composing non-technical correspondence. Satisfactory completion of a Tier 1 background investigation is required.
