Inpatient Psychiatrist for Glenwood Behavioral Health

Seeking BC Psychiatrist for the Glenwood Behavioral Health in Cincinnati, OH. We offer a competitive compensation program, PTO, and complete paid benefits, malpractice coverage, and we pay the tail. Lead the team, round, admit and discharge. We do the rest.

Our 80 bed Glenwood Behavioral is Joint Commission Accredited Psychiatric Hospital treating Behavioral Health, Substance use, Dual-Diagnosis or Co-Occurring treatment, Trauma/PTSD for Adults & Geriatric Patients is actively recruiting a new Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our inpatient treatment team.

The Inpatient Psychiatrist position is a reasonable workload, good call schedule, Monday-Friday. The LOS is 7-10 days and the average census on this unit is 50 patients.

Compensation range: $340,000 - $352,000/year

*Total compensation may vary based on additional services, including call coverage, administrative services, performance bonus, etc. Compensation may also vary based on productivity after initial guarantee period.

Responsibilities:

Summary:

  • Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
  • Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
  • Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
  • Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
  • Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
  • Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
  • One or more years' post graduate degree practice preferred.
  • Licensed in the the state in which the facility(s) operate.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Board certification in psychiatry
  • Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
