You will serve as a MECHANICAL ENGINEER in the Design and Construction Division of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.Requirements:
This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: You must currently be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your current license with your application package.In addition to the selective placement factor, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Leading production of facilities mechanical engineering design packages, including design drawings, plans, specifications and design-build requests for proposal;
2) Reviewing shore facilities mechanical engineering design submittals to provide subject matter expert acceptance recommendations to officials; and
3) Providing shore facilities mechanical engineering design consultation services to officials during construction.
