This position is part of the Office of the Inspector General, Government Publishing Office in Washington, District of Columbia.

Requirements:

To qualify for the Assistant Inspector General for Management and Policy, PG -0301-15, you must meet the following requirements:

Specialized experience at the next lower grade levels PG-14 include: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (PG-14) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that must include but not limited to the following duties: Planning, coordinating and execution of business functions, resource allocation and production. Utilizing qualitative and quantitative methods for assessing and improving program effectiveness and complex management processes and systems. Understanding OIG policies, regulations, precedents and planning guidlines and processes; Using research and fact finding methods and techniques to research programs; drawing conclusions and making recommendations for improved processes and procedures.

Certified Contracting Officer expericence is beneficial but not required.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
