You will serve as an Aircraft Mechanic in the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Production Department of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION:

A - Performing, coordinating and/or overseeing the work and any periodic inspections to be done on an aircraft whether it is alone or with the assistance of other mechanics and/or workers. Responsible for coordinating the work of other journey-level workers in other trades to work simultaneously on the aircraft. Install, adjust, align, and troubleshoot a variety of major aircraft systems, serve to advise on and examine all airframe, mechanical, electrical, and pneudraulic repairs to their assigned aircraft. Determine when the nature and scope of repair involves other trades, e.g., engine mechanics, electricians, electronics mechanics, or integrated systems mechanics and coordinate the work of these individuals with the other trades. Conduct functional tests of repairs/modifications to ensure proper operation. Report malfunctions to appropriate personnel and schedule follow-up work. Are responsible for grounding an aircraft when the severity of a malfunction warrants it and may be responsible for releasing the aircraft to service after repairs are completed and tested.

B-Experience with performing, coordinating and/or overseeing the work and any periodic inspections to be done on an aircraft whether it is alone or with the assistance of other mechanics and/or workers. Experience coordinating the work of other journey-level workers in other trades to work simultaneously on the aircraft.
