The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Front Office Director of Staff utilizing expert level analytical methods to plan, develop, and lead implementation of organizational support requirements for a diverse Research and Development organization.

Requirements:

This is an interdisciplinary position, which means that the duties and responsibilities of the position relate to the General Engineer (0801), Materials Engineer (0806), Electrical Engineer (0850), Electronics Engineer (0855), General Physical Scientist (1301), Physicist (1310), Chemist (1320). Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Individual Occupational Requirements for the 0800 and 1300 series are in the Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Professional and Scientific Positions. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
DR-03 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must or will have at least one year (52 weeks) within 120 days of closing of this announcement of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-13, or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
