Our client, a manufacturing company that has been in business for more than 75 year. They are seeking an Accountant to join their team! The success of the organization is intricately tied to its foundational principles and overarching mission, emphasizing the cultivation of robust client connections and the assembly of an exceptional team, overseen by leaders boasting an average of 21 years of expertise within the pertinent fields.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$70,000 – $90,000 + 10% Bonus (DOE)
Position Overview:
The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial data and records to monitor the organization’s financial health, including assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses. The Accountant will have the opportunity to work along side the Assistant Controller and CFO. This position has a lot of room for growth and be exposed to many different factors of the business.
Responsibilities of the Accountant:
- Conducts comprehensive financial analysis and assists in budgeting and forecasting
- Prepares regular financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Maintains accurate records in the financial system and ensures compliance with accounting standards
- Processes invoices, sets up accounts, reconciles transactions, and closes financial periods
- Conducts regular bank reconciliations and resolves any discrepancies
- Manages accounts receivable and facilitates collections activities
- Oversees accounts payable processes and ensures timely payments
- Supports external auditors during the annual audit by providing necessary documentation
- Submits tax filings to relevant government authorities
- Collaborates with software providers to optimize accounting systems and procedures
- Administers the procurement and invoicing system
- Stays updated on industry best practices and regulatory requirements
- Performs additional duties as assigned
Qualifications for the Accountant:
- Experience with 1 or all the following: (1) Concur – expense reporting (2) Payroll processing (3) Fixed assets (4) Sales Tax
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in financial analysis and understanding of accounting principles
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required
