POSITION OVERVIEW

Alterra's Corporate Development group is responsible for helping shape and drive Alterra's inorganic growth. We identify industry trends; partner with our corporate function and resort teams; maintain and develop relationships with key external parties; and leverage the broader Alterra platform to acquire strategic businesses and mountain destinations that support Alterra's goals. In addition to acquisitions, we influence build versus buy decisions that support Alterra's employee and guest experience goals, and we lead post-acquisition integration as the underwritten business plan is operationalized.

The Vice President of M&A Integration is a critical position on a growing team. This role reports to the Vice President, Head of Corporate Development and will be a key leader within Alterra's Corporate Development team. This is a highly visible role within the organization with frequent interaction with Alterra's Executive Leadership Team and the Senior Leadership Teams at both Alterra's resorts as well as at prospective acquisition targets.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Support Alterra's inorganic growth initiatives by leading the business due diligence process and integration process of potential mergers, acquisitions, investments, and joint ventures to ensure long-term success.
  • Create actionable and detailed long-term integration plans to achieve transaction objectives by collaborating with senior executives, business sponsors, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Lead the execution of integration plans (inclusive of change management in key areas); deliver against specific integration goals/objectives.
  • Regularly communicate to senior leadership on performance and progress on due diligence plans and short-term / long-term integration plans.
  • Establish a scalable integration playbook for the due diligence process and integrations that allows for repeatable processes; responsible for continuously improving the entire due diligence and integration process.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Education:
  • Candidate must have already received a BA / BS degree

Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience in M&A integrations within an operating company, consulting firm, or advisory firm

Skills & Abilities:
  • Proven track record of operationalizing complex cross-enterprise projects; significant experience in leading by influence.
  • Establish credibility / trust with senior executives, business leaders, technical and non-technical team members.
  • Ability to anticipate and resolve roadblocks / obstacles that arise throughout a transaction and integration process.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and writing skills.
  • Experience working in a demanding and fast-paced environment with highly motivated and driven professionals.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proactive, action-oriented and partnership approach.

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc. salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc.'s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Denver area base salary range: $174,000 - $262,000 per year
