Description:
Aerojet Rocketdyne has an immediate opening for an Production Scheduler to join our growing facility in Camden, Arkansas . Under general supervision and following established policies and procedures, the Production Scheduler will support Production Control and performs professional assignments requiring general use and application of concepts, practices and techniques.
Essential Functions
- Tracks components to support manufacturing schedule using internal ERP system (Oracle) to maintain program schedules. When product is held up in Receiving Inspection, works with the team members to get these materials released to the manufacturing floor. Reports issues to supervision for further escalation of the issues.
- Tracks finished parts through the assembly and shop areas for final shipment to our customer. If schedule is impacted, works with the team to develop a plan to get back on track. Works any issue necessary to make weekly shipment of product, report delays in a timely manner.
- Identifies and communicates concerns and issues potential to scheduling impacts. Works with the team to develop a solution to minimize the impact. Relays information to team members and management.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and three (3) years of experience in a directly related field, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of SAP ERP system, Oracle MRP system, and Microsoft Office preferred. Must be comfortable in a constantly changing environment and able to shift plans and priorities daily to meet mid and long-term objectives. Strong communication, organization, logistical and multi-tasking skills. Strong decision making skills. Previous MRP experience. Erroneous decisions will have a negative impact on the business as it pertains to product deliveries.
