The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is seeking a Full Time Operation Research Analyst (NH-1515-03) to serve as a member of the Air Force Cost Analysis Agency and as a lead or a member of a three to five person Cost Integrate Team (CIPT) of professional cost and operations research analysts to develop non-advocate cost assessments to support major weapon systems and automated information systems. Salary: $99,200– 153,354 based on experience This position can close at any time. Apply Now!Qualifications/Requirements: The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Operations Research Analyst within the Space Programs Division. AFCAA/FMCS performs life cycle cost estimates and other cost analyses for Air and Space Force weapon systems to inform the DAF budget and major acquisition decisions. This position is located at the Joint Base Andrews, MD. Must be a U.S. Citizen Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: College degree, at least 24 semester hours in any combination of: operations research, mathematics, statistics, mathematical logic, science, and other courses in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus. TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE INCLUDED. Knowledge of a wide range of methods and techniques used in cost, economic and operations research analysis, and possession of analytical abilities; quantitative techniques and methods used to develop models to resolve problems. Ability to develop and utilize appropriate data and estimating relationships and the use of model and estimating relationships. Ability to develop and utilize appropriate data collection techniques and design, build, and use models and simulation techniques. The ability to extract and organize raw cost data under general direction from the team leader, conducting basic mathematical analysis of program information, and assisting other analysts in the collection, development and implementation of cost related information. The ability to provides support developing cost databases, parametric relationships, cost estimating software and documentation, and research reports. Skill to negotiate and/or defend findings and program support concepts.
