Description:
This position serves as a Clinical Psychologist in the Emergency Department at the Pine Ridge Service Unit in Pine Ridge, SD. The incumbent provides comprehensive mental health services via telehealth to pediatric, adolescent, adult and elderly patients. The position reports to the Emergency Department Director.Requirements:

BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
Degree: Doctoral degree directly related to full professional work in Clinical Psychology is required.
In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
GS-13: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Diagnosing and treating a full range of psychological disorders for adults and children; providing initial treatment of acute mental health conditions; formulating and implementing a plan of care; providing various treatment modalities; coordinating referrals to other appropriate facilities and monitoring the aftercare plan; making appropriate referrals to medical providers when psychotropic medication should be considered; and monitoring patients for the effectiveness of psychotropic medications.
Selective Placement Factor
License: Ability to independently provide direct services to patients as evidenced by a current, valid, active, unrestricted license, as a Clinical Psychologist in any state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
Time In Grade
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
