This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Asst Secretary for Community Planning and Development.Requirements:
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized experience for the GS-15 is one year of experience at the GS-14 level that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position includes meeting 3 of the 4 items in the following:
-Directing or providing management oversight of housing and community or economic development programs; AND
-Managing the development of administration of grant programs designed to improve the economic, physical, and social conditions of persons living in poverty; AND
-Managing collaborations with Federal, State, and local officials and organizations regarding housing, economic and community development issues and resolving controversial projects; AND
-Directing and providing management oversight to a team that oversees grant management efforts and ensures compliance over programmatic issues and financial resources.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-15 you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
