About the Position: The position is for the Deputy Data Science Team Director at Task Force 40-25, within US Army Special Operations Command. TF 40-25 is an irregular warfare-focused task force supporting theater special operations commands, combatant commands, and interagency partners.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Basic Requirements: A. Degree: Mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field directly related to the position. The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position. TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE UPLOADED, or you may not be eligible for referring to the hiring manager.

OR

Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) as shown in paragraph A above, plus additional education or appropriate experience.

Specialized experience:

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes modernizing research and analytics in machine learning, and the application thereof. Machine learning spans multiple fields to include computer vision, graph and anomaly detection, operational performance, programmatic optimization, talent management, and related fields.
