The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as a Joint Intelligence Operations Center (JIOC) Hard Targets Strategy staff intelligence officer (political/military) integrating and coordinating activities regarding developing adversary threats to inform decision-making.

Requirements:

This is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles and practices concerning broad and varied intelligence operations relating to foreign threats to current and future NC3 programs, capabilities, systems, and activities, strategic deterrence, near-peer competition, and intelligence support to those equities.
Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of US intelligence community policies, entities, missions, resources, operations, capabilities, databases, and requirements to perform intelligence research planning, operations collection, systems analysis, and other intelligence collection related activities.

2. Knowledge of policy, standards and tradecraft to perform integrated application of intelligence compartmented accesses programs (CAP) with special access programs (SAP).

3. Skill to anticipate, identify, analyze, and consult on potential or actual intelligence problem areas relating to program implementation and mission achievement; developing and selecting from alternative courses of action or corrective courses of action; and/or take decisive action based on developed contingency plans.

4. Skill to navigate multiple mission, strategic vision and priorities to ensure those are reflected in DNI, IC, DIA, and DoD intelligence policies, strategies, plans, and analytic products.

5. Ability to quickly assimilate disparate as well as compartmented intelligence data and render knowledgeable and accurate assessments of the implications of such data; and to apply facts and estimates derived from numerous sources to a variety of problems having different technical aspects.

6. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to negotiate complex issues; to maintain good working relations; and to advocate with individuals both internally (DoD) and externally (non-DoD).

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED:
1. Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.

2. This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
