In order to qualify, you must meet the Education requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience for GS-12: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Experience briefing senior leaders on Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) Management Directive 715 (MD-715) reports. 2) Experience overseeing and monitoring an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) complaint processing system to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. 3) Experience interpreting and applying EEO program guidance to process claims. 4) Experience processing reasonable accommodation actions to maintain a case status log. 5) Experience providing logistical support and assistance to investigators administrative law judges, and legal counselors in processing formal complaints. 6) Experience using fact-finding and negotiation techniques to resolve problems between management and employees. 7) Experience preparing EEO reports to ensure compliance with regulations. 8) Experience advising employees and managers on equal opportunity rights. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
