Description:

This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Program Analysis and Evaluation Division (PA&ED). The selectee will serve as the Program Analysis and Evaluation Officer providing analysis and recommendations related to programs, policies and financial oversight, advising the CFO, and playing a key role in the development and planning of AOC strategies. Will also supervise assigned division professional staff.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.

Candidates for the GS­-15 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-14) in the Federal service.

Specialized experience for this position must include: (1) Leading or supervising staff in the performance of financial or program evaluation work; (2) Providing direction and advice on the design, development and implementation of organization-wide strategic initiatives that guide actions and policies to improve operations; (3) Evaluating programs for efficiency and effectiveness and coordinating with senior managers on a range of issues related to financial cost projections and analysis of organizational operations; and (4) Applying experience in data collection and data analytics to ensure the most current state-of-the-art systems and technologies are available to the organization.
