This position is assigned to the Recreation Branch (N922); Fleet Readiness Division (N92); Fleet and Family Readiness Department (N9), Commander, Navy Region Hawaii (CNRH). Incumbent serves as an Operations Assistant (Marketing), and assists in the production and distribution of printed materials and performs a wide variety of deliveries and installations.* MUST RESIDE ON THE ISLAND OF KAUA'I *
Requirements:
Knowledge Required by the Position: Knowledge of copying, packaging, shipping. Knowledge of media and types of printing equipment. Knowledge of safety rules and regulations and other posted rules for moving vehicles, and how to properly load the vehicle. Knowledge of reporting requirements and procedures applicable for preparation of records and log sheets. Knowledge of driver's maintenance requirements and procedures for the vehicle being driven. Skill in the use of Microsoft Office Programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook). Ability to operate motor vehicles in order to deliver mail, packages, and/or personnel. Ability to work independently, maintain records, compile and organize data for reports. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Guidelines and Complexity: Guidelines consist of text, published standard procedure and general instructions. Tasks are generally repetitive and any new or unusual situation is referred to the supervisor for initial guidance. The duties of this position consist of general routine technical tasks. Where specific guidance has not been given, or is not addressed in guidelines, the incumbent must consult the supervisor for instruction. Working Conditions and Physical Demands: The work is usually performed in a copy shop setting with adequate heating, cooling and lighting. Much of the time will be spent our of the office in varying degrees of hot, cold or inclement weather to deliver materials. The work requires long periods of driving/sitting, a moderate amount of walking, and some standing while operating equipment. Light lifting of delivery mateirals is also required.
