Description:

The incumbent provides Planning and Estimating (P&E) services and prepares design documents necessary for the maintenance, repair, and evaluation of Gallery facilities encompassing architectural and structural components, including specialized doors, flooring systems, asphalt and concrete driving/walking surfaces, interior and exterior walls, roofs, ceilings, and associated electrical and mechanical systems.

Requirements:

Candidates must meet the Qualification Standards Handbook requirements for the GS-0802-12.

At least one year of experience, equivalent in responsibility to the GS-11 level in the Federal service, planning for the maintenance and repair of building systems.

OR

At least one year of experience as a WG-10 (or equivalent) carpenter or mason.

Other Relevant Eligibility Criteria:

Must be able to use ladders, scaffolds and platforms. Must be able to work in cramped and isolated locations. Must be able to climb, stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend and stoop. Requires night and weekend work.

Skill in developing engineering specifications. Ability to apply contemporary contracting rules, concepts and processes. Knowledge of work and product cost estimation methods.
