THIS IS A NORTH DAKOTA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.This ND National Guard position is for a INFORMATION SECURITY SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D1657P01 and is part of the ND 119 Operations Support Squadron, National Guard.

QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE
Length of time is not of itself qualifying. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicant must possess the experiences, education, or training that demonstrates the ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, procedures and validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of Information Security.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicantmust have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS 07 level or civilian equivalent, which includes: 1) Performs the day-to-day operational duties within the Special Security Office in support of all sensitive compartmented information-associated security programs and measures; 2) Experienced in conducting intelligence support operations, procedures, and practices that are necessary to accomplish intelligence functions in support of programs essential to state National Guard daily operations, training, and readiness missions; 3) Knowledgeable on how to maintain currency on a variety of different security program interrelationships, requirements, regulations and guidance in order to protect sensitive compartmented information facilities and materials from espionage, sabotage, and destruction; 4) Experience implementing the Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance program and maintaining current and completed clearances for assigned personnel; and 5) Experienced in assessing Special Security Office self-inspections.
