This position is part of the Defense Media Activity, Defense Media Activity. The incumbent will be responsible for providing news, information, and entertainment to U.S. forces worldwide in order to promote and sustain unit and individual readiness, quality of life, and moral.
Requirements:
You may qualify at the GS 12, if you fulfill the following qualifications:A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service as listed below:
- Performing Information Assurance (IA) duties that ensures the confidentiality, integrity and availability of systems, networks, and data.
- Performing security reviews of application designs, software development, source code and deployments.
- Conduct systems security evaluations, audits, and reviews; and ensuring systems, tools, and applications are in compliant with Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Information Technology (IT), Cybersecurity and the National Institute Standards and Technology (NIST).
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
