Serves as an Environmental Protection Assistant for the Engineering Department, Engineering Management Division, United States Section, International Boundary and Water Commission (USIBWC). The position directly supports the Clean Rivers Program (CRP) for the Rio Grande Basin and USIBWC surface water quality.Requirements:
Qualifications must be met by 04/19/2024Minimum Qualification Requirement - You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal service, or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, which provided you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of this position.
Examples of specialized experience include: knowledge of environmental management concepts, theories, methods and techniques; collection and basic analysis of data and assisting in the development of technical reports; reviewing environmental impact documents to identify potential pollutants; maintaining a watershed inventory of surface water quality monitoring data; reviewing authorized publications to determine the appropriate information for inclusion in environmental inventories; and compiling technical reports summarizing the results of water quality monitoring.

Time in Grade (TIG): Current and former Federal employees must have a minimum of 52 weeks at the next lower grade level to be eligible under Merit Promotion procedures. An SF-50 must be provided that verifies eligibility as stated in the Area of Consideration section.
