Description:
This position is located in the Office of General Law & Ethics in the Legal Division of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). The incumbent provides legal/policy advice and representation in Federal sector labor and employment areas of law, including serving as the Bureau's representative in administrative forums and federal courts and participating as the legal advisor in labor negotiations.Requirements:

1. Law Degree: Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited law school with an LL.B., J.D. or equivalent.
2. Bar Membership: Applicants must be a current member of a bar with a valid license to practice law in a state, territory of the United States, District of Columbia, or Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

Serving in an attorney role on a labor negotiation team is desired. Representing a federal agency or union before the Federal Services Impasses Panel is desired. Working in an attorney position at either the Federal Labor Relations Authority or a union representing federal employees is desired.The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
