Requirements:
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized experience for the GS-14 is defined as one year at the GS-13, or equivalent that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
- Interpreting regulations such as: Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circulars A-123, A-11, and A-136; AND
- Reviewing the trial balance and financial statements to ensure financial reporting was prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); AND
- Participating in financial or performance audits that led to objective and systematic examinations and resulted in independent audit assessments of an organization's structure, performance, efficiency, program, and internal control environment in compliance with A-123 or GAAS guidelines.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14 you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
