One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.GS-11 - At the GS-11 level specialized Experience is defined as performing a full range of financial management analysis and regulatory research work; applying established financial analysis principles, concepts, and practices to a wide variety of difficult problems; and gathering and analyzing data and identifying methods to improve agency business areas.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. To be considered for the GS-11, applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-09 or higher in the Federal service.
GS-12 - At the GS-12 level specialized experience is defined as conducting financial reviews and completing projects that provide advisory services to management officials regarding complex programs; Providing financial advisory services for a major segment of a business line/product line budget; and analyzing and evaluating financial management accounting systems.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. To be considered for the GS-12, applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher in the Federal service.
