THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a Fuel Distribution Systems Worker, Position Description Number D0594000 and is part of the MATES, National Guard.

WHO CAN APPLY:
GROUP I - All qualified Male/Female Enlisted Member (E4/SPC - E7/SFC) currently employed (permanent) in the Virginia Army National Guard Military Technician Program.
GROUP II - All qualified Virginia Army National Guard Male/Female Enlisted Member (E4/SPC - E7/SFC), regardless of employment status (Traditional, Military Technician or AGR). To be considered as a Group II applicant, proof of appointment/enlistment in the Virginia National Guard must be attached if the appointment/enlistment occurred within 60 days prior to, or during, the advertisement period.
GROUP III - Individuals eligible for membership in the Virginia Army National Guard.

Military Grades: Enlisted Member (E4/SPC - E7/SFC)

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have experience or training operating and maintaining a fuel distribution system composed of bulk storage, hydrant-refueling system, or a tanker truck operation used to perform ground refueling of aviation aircraft.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have at least 12 months of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the WG-07 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government? This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the WG grade indicated. This experience must include activities such as:

Experience planning, directing, and organizing work assignments for lower grade personnel including the review of work requirements and establishing priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations.
