Description:

About the Position: Serves as the focal point in the office for the receipt and review of incoming tasking's, projects, correspondence and other communications or materials such as regulations, changes of policy and procedures, etc. Utilizes modern automation systems in the performance of assigned duties. Reviews correspondence and documents for conformance with regulations, grammar, format, and special policies of the office.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience assembling data for presentation, experience utilizing office software applications, scheduling and rescheduling appointments, controlling the materials and logistics of conferences, briefings and meetings, serving as primary timekeeper, entering timecards into Defense Civilian Pay System (DCPS), and maintain files and various records of a personal and official nature such as appointment calendars.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
