Description:

The Chief of Staff (CoS) serves on the executive leadership team of NNSA's Defense Programs. The CoS is responsible for the policies, processes, and procedures for assuring effective development and implementation of the Nation's nuclear weapons programs. The CoS uses leadership ability and extensive knowledge of management practices. The CoS leads strategic initiatives and advises on a wide array of issues.

Requirements:

A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower NNSA pay band or GS grade level in the Federal service i.e., EN-04, NN/NQ-04 or GS-15.

Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience conducting all of the following activities:

1. Experience managing complex processes relating to organizational policy, human capital, task tracking, logistics, budget, and/or communications.
2. Demonstrated ability to enhance team cohesion and successfully navigate inter- and intra-organizational dynamics in a high-paced operational environment.
3. Proven written and oral communication skills, particularly regarding complex organizational or national security issues.
4. Record of conceiving and implementing novel solutions to multi-faceted or unprecedented challenges.
