To qualify for the position, you must meet the following requirements: Applicants must have experience and/or training of sufficient scope and quality to independently perform the duties typically required of a Facilities Craft Supervisor.Applicants must meet the following Screen-Out element Job Element # 73 to be considered for this position. These duties require skill in: - Providing oversight of repair and service of systems and equipment that regulates High Voltage Electricity and HVAC systems in the agency;
- assigning work, coordinating and monitoring workload and training; and maintaining financial expenditures in accordance with established management priorities;
- monitoring, safeguarding, and responding to emergency situations to protect life, health, and safety of all personnel and equipment assigned to or visiting GPO facilities;
- using and maintaining accurate written reports;

JOB ELEMENTS: Those who meet the minimum level of experience and training for the screen-out element will then be evaluated in each of the following job elements: Job Element #75B Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (other than blueprinting reading) Job Element #25-E Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic) Job Element 2-E Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc. In addition to the requirements above: GPO employees competing under merit promotion procedures must meet all of the following criteria in accordance with Federal Merit Promotion Plan, GPO Instruction 615.2C (Appendix B): 1. Have completed a formal, recognized apprenticeship or GPO journeyperson training program, or possess substantially equivalent practical experience in the trade of the vacancy; AND 2. Have at least 1 year of journeyperson experience subsequent to completion of the above apprenticeship or training; AND 3. Have served a minimum of 1 year in Career or Career-Conditional appointment in the GPO.(add supervisory statement from MP Plan). 4. Have served at least 1 year in an administrative or supervisory capacity.
