Description:
This National Guard position is for a Traffic Management Specialist (Title 5), Position Description Number T5261000 and is part of the G4 located in Draper, UT with the Utah Army National Guard.
Priority will be given to all current, onboard employees of the UTNG.
The selecting supervisor for this vacancy is Mr. Michael Brant.
Requirements:

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
Experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a knowledge of and understanding of administrative, professional, analytical, or other work relating to traffic or transportation programs or operations. Must be skilled in dealing with others in person-to-person work relationships. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS 9:
Must have at least 24 months experience interpreting regulations/requirements and developing local policies to implement changes effectively. Experience applying applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations concerning transportation and traffic procedures. Experience preparing reports and recommendations involving appeals, special permits, adjustments in rates and charges. Experience which involved negotiations with carriers on individual shipments or traffic movement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS 11:
Must have at least 36 months experience performing, administering or supervising technical and analytical work concerned with planning, development and execution of traffic policies and programs. Experience interpreting applicable Federal, State and local laws, and regulations concerning transportation and traffic procedures. Knowledge of transportation requirements and systems for specific geographic areas (International and Continental United States).
