THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a PERSONNEL SECURITY SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D2479000 and is part of the KS Joint Forces Headquarters, National Guard.
Requirements:
Military Grades: E-4 through O-3
Desired Compatible Military Assignments: Enlisted: 12Y, 31B, 35F, 42A; Officer: 15C, 31A, 35A, 42B
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have one year of experience that has equipped you with the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Comprehensive knowledge of personnel security concepts, principles, and application; Ability to effectively evaluate application packets for security clearance eligibility; Ability to identify and report violations of adjudicative guidelines to the appropriate authority as described in current statues and regulations; Ability to research, organize, analyze, and synthesize information from a variety of automated systems across multiple DOD, Federal, and state agencies; Knowledge of investigation and re-investigation processes to initiate and conduct follow-up in the approved automated system(s); Ability to determine eligibility for access to classified and controlled unclassified information and granting personnel security clearance and access in the presence of minor derogatory information; and Skill in oral and written communication sufficient to write reports, conduct presentations, and/or clearly communicate personnel security processes, regulations, or training.This specialized experience may be substituted with the following education: master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related.
