THIS IS A TITLE 32 DUAL STATUS POSITIONDUTY LOCATION: 103d Operations Group (OG), East Granby, CT
AREA(S) OF CONSIDERATION:
Area 1: All currently employed full-time permanent and indefinite personnel of the CTANG.
Area 2: All currently employed full-time temporary technician personnel and all current traditional members of the CTANG.
Area 3: Individuals eligible for membership in the CTANG. Membership must be satisfied within four (4) months of selection.
Requirements:
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training interpreting, explaining, and/or applying a variety of regulations and procedures. Experience using computer and automation systems.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume and any other supporting documentation you wish to provide must clearly substantiate you currently possess 24 months of specialized experience in the following: Experience coordinating and negotiating with organizations/personnel both orally and in writing to resolve differences/problems. Experience inspecting airfield/parking aprons/taxiways to ensure compliance with all US Air Force, Federal Aviation Administration and Department of Defense safety standards, Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate fix actions. Experience measuring aircraft braking action on runway and taxiways and pass information to required agencies. Experience using Aeronautical Information System - Revised (AISR) to input/receive Flight Plans domestic and ICAO along with appropriate departure messages. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of rules, regulations, and policies governing military flight planning procedures to include planning, routing, and filing of flight plans. Knowledge of flight data processing, NOTAM processing, emergency response actions, and maintaining flight information/supportive displays. Skill in performing airfield checks and inspections IAW military and FAA regulations. Skill in establishing performance standards, procedures, and work priorities for personnel working in Airfield Management Operations. Skill in developing and maintaining operating instructions, quick reaction checklist, logs, etc. to perform Airfield Management operations activities and responsibilities.
COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENT: All applications will be considered regardless of Branch/AOC/FA/AFSC. Incumbent will be required to be assigned to compatible military position within 1 year of selection. The selected individual may be required to attend formal technician school training.
