Description:

This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development OIG - Office of Special Inquiry. As an Attorney-Adviser (General), you will lead administrative investigations and special reviews that are in OSI's portfolio. The successful candidate will be passionate about writing, have exceptional evidence-evaluation skills, an unwavering sense of fairness and objectivity, excellent oral and written briefing skills, and the ability exercise good judgment while working independently.

Requirements:

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Basic Requirements: Applicants MUST:(1) be a graduate of an accredited law school with an LL.B. or J.D.; from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA) ABA Approved Law Schools; (2) be a current member of a bar with a valid license to practice law in a state, territory of the United States, District of Columbia, or Commonwealth of Puerto Rico; and(3) meet all specialized experience requirements as described in the vacancy announcement.

AND

Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have 24 months of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:

Experience conducting depositions; OR Experience conducting complex investigations or responding to government investigations; OR Experience writing investigative reports. For the GS-14, you must have 24 months of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience conducting legal research; AND Experience providing recommendations; AND Experience expressing factual and legal conclusions using oral and written communication skills.
