To qualify for the SV-K Pay Band (equivalent to GS-15), you must have one year of specialized experience at the SV-J or GS-14 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.Such Specialized Experience is defined as a minimum of one year at SV-J or GS-14 equivalent demonstrated in the resume for the following: Making recommendations to Senior Executives and Senior Management, and offers guidance in the development of intelligence requirements, intelligence program of analysis, and intelligence production and dissemination plans particularly as it relates to intelligence information sharing with stakeholders and coordination of such information sharing for the organization; AND Collaborate and closely coordinate with intelligence, industry and other agency security and law enforcement community partners to ensure comprehensive understanding, informed analysis, planning, reporting and information sharing related to threats affecting the transportation sector or critical infrastructure, at the senior executive and senior management officials level and as a supervisor directing such actions; AND Expert knowledge and experience of transportation, homeland and/or national security related mission functions and operations leading key security initiatives to apply broad intelligence and security policies, processes, and concepts in order to collaborate and communicate information with and to stakeholders and senior leadership; AND Directing mission-essential programs to include short- and long-range programs addressing a broad range of Agency needs and interests to include coordination, briefings and intelligence information sharing with internal and external operational and other senior stakeholders, such as stakeholders at the agency, department level, and/or to congressional staff and members and national security council, or to other government, industry and field security partners; AND Experience managing, planning, analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of current and future transportation, homeland or national classified and sensitive information sharing security functions, policies and procedures. Credit for experience is given based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a part-time ratio, i.e., working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience. National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
