The United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York's mission is to investigate, prosecute and deter violations of federal statutes, enforce and represent the interests of the United States in civil litigation, uphold civil, constitutional and victims' rights, and foster partnerships with other federal, state and local government agencies and community groups.Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience and/or education for the respective grade level in which you are applying:To qualify at the GS-09 level, you must possess:
You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-07 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing at minimum, (3) of the (4) duties listed below: Performing routine and recurring litigation support assignments (i.e., processing electronic files, performing basic document review, supporting case preparation and presentation). Communicating to litigation staff/team about the status of litigation support projects. Utilizing litigation technology software to conduct litigation support assignments. Participating in analyzing project requirements to identify appropriate litigation support approaches and options. OR master's degree or equivalent graduate degree; or two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree; or LL.B. or J.D., if related.
OR a combination of the required experience and education for this grade level.
