Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Experience interpreting and applying financial management and administrative principles, practices, methods, and techniques to plan, program, budget, or develop short- and long-term workforce and budgetary controls; Experience utilizing financial computer software programs to formulate a multi-functional, multi-million dollar, or multi-year appropriation budget and financial management program; Experience analyzing workload trends or cost analysis studies using qualitative or quantitative techniques to measure program effectiveness; and Experience leading, directing, or assigning work of personnel.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
