Description:

This position serves as a Litigation Support Specialist located in the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), National Security Division (NSD), Executive Office (EO), Information Technology Management (ITM) Staff, Litigation Technology Support Services (LTSS) Team in Washington DC. The mission of the NSD is to coordinate the Department's efforts in carrying out its core mission of combatting terrorism and protecting national security.

Requirements:

To qualify for the position of Litigation Support Specialist at (GS-0301-11/12/13), you must possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade you're applying to.

If you are a current or former government employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level, to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade. Additionally, please ensure to submit an applicable SF50 (please refer to the "required documents" section for additional information).

To Qualify for the Litigation Support Specialist GS-0301-11, you must have at least one of the following:

A. Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector using eLitigation applications supporting trial attorneys.

-OR-

B. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.M., if related.

-OR-

C. Some specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and have more than two years but less than three years of education as described in B. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the second year by 36. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify).

To Qualify for the Litigation Support Specialist GS-0301-12, your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector using eLitigation applications to process documents and uploading documents to eLitigation database applications in support to trial attorneys.

To Qualify for the Litigation Support Specialist GS-0301-13, your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector using eLitigation applications to independently process complex document types and performing higher end administrator functions within eLitigation database applications in support of trial attorneys.
