About the Position: This position is located in the Madigan Army Medical Center's Nutrition Care Division, Food Production and Services Tacoma, Washington. The duties and tasks involved in serving food and beverages and preparing simple food, assembling trays for hospital patients.Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) FOOD SERVICE WORKER ~ without more than normal supervision. Ability to perform the common Food Service activities setting up cafeteria lines and dining room tables, washing dishes, pots and pans, either manually or by use of mechanical equipment, cleaning spaces under and behind kitchen equipment and plating food on a tray under supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion make sure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
Ability to Do the Work of the Position without More Than Normal Supervision Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (Other Than Blueprint Reading) Ability to Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Dexterity and Safety Knowledge of Materials Technical Practices (Theoretical, Precise, Artistic) Work Practices (Including Keeping Things Neat, Clean, and in Order) Physical Effort: Work involves constant walking and standing. Employee must bend and stoop in loading trays on delivery carts. Frequently lifts over 60 pounds (cases of food and milk containers). Working Conditions: Work is performed predominantly in noisy kitchen and dining room areas; involves continuous standing and walking, mainly on concrete floors. Incumbent is subject to injuries from equipment used; exposed to dirt, grease and water in cleaning tasks. Incumbent is subject to extremes of temperature in bringing supplies from walk-in refrigerators. There is danger of slipping on wet floors which are wet from daily mopping or where food or beverage has been dropped.
