Description:

As a Safety and Occupational Health Manager serve as lead expert guidance to improve fire and safety characteristics within buildings and prevent injuries, fatalities, and property damage.

This position is located in General Services Administration (GSA), Public Buildings Service (PBS) of the National Capital Region (NCR).

    The GS-13 salary range starts at $117,962 per year.

    If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.

    To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is work performed with Federal, state and local governments in managing and implementing occupational safety and health programs to include industrial hygiene and hazardous materials. This experience must include planning and developing training, guidance and procedures for such programs; providing technical guidance to management, building occupants, and others in relation to health and safety inspections and surveys; and interpreting and ensuring compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (OSH Act) and other relevant safety and occupational health laws and regulations.
