This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Repairing high voltage power generating and distributing equipment (e.g. generators, transformers, switches, circuit breakers, recording instruments, and control systems); 2) Reading circuit drawings and diagrams to identify electrical problems; 3) Using high voltage test tools (e.g. oscillators, meggers, phase sticks, and fault finding equipment); 4) Installing transformers, capacitors, insulators, switches, circuit breakers and fuses for main distribution lines over 600V; and 5) Using safety equipment such as hot sticks, rubber blankets, and insulated gloves when working on high voltage systems.
