As a CHAPLAIN ASSISTANT-TITLE 32, GS-0303-7, you will provide preliminary interviews and crisis debriefings for Military Technicians and Active Guard/Reserve personnel. Publicize availability of chaplain professional services. Coordinate care with drill status chaplains and civilian pastoral entities to ensure services are provided according to the religious beliefs and needs of employees. Provide referral services for crisis care of full-time support/deployed personnel and their families. Visit organizations throughout the state to assess chaplain training requirements of support personnel and evaluate the religious support program of drill status ministry teams. Evaluate religious support requirements of operations and deployments/mobilizations. Coordinate the logistical needs of religious ministry personnel. Make recommendations for changes regulations and operating procedures. Provide material for religious instructional activities to be conducted by the Chaplain/Chaplain's Assistants. May conduct religious customs and culture briefings. Maintain library of religious and quality of life instructional materials. Prepare and maintain public relations materials. Assist in preparations for special events and religious services. May be required to administer and manage nonappropriated funds and provide for safeguard of religious offerings. Maintain statistical records and prepare reports. Monitor and assist in programming required professional, functional and specialty training for assigned ministry personnel. Operate and maintain office automation and multimedia systems. Establish and maintain the office filing system and prepare correspondence. Assists in recruitment and retention efforts for ministry positions. Perform other duties as assigned.

RANK REQUIREMENT:
Member must provide in writing with their application package that they are willing to accept a reduction in rank in order to be qualified for this position, if applicable. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
You must maintain membership in the Kentucky National Guard.
You must be assigned to a compatible military position.

Must obtain a favorable adjudication of a T3 or equivalent investigation.

Substitution of Education for specialized experience:
High school graduate or the equivalent may be substituted for 3 months of specialized experience. Education in schools above the high school level may be substituted for experience on the basis of one academic year of study (i.e. 36 weeks of substantially full time study, or 30 semester hours, or the equivalent) for 12 months of the required experience.
To receive credit for education substitution listed above, you must provide OFFICIAL transcripts for validation.
