Summary

The Apps team is looking for an amazing Build and Release Engineering Project Manager to drive application builds and releases across Apple platforms. We are looking for someone who is passionate about building great apps in a constantly evolving environment, appreciates the importance of timely delivery, and thrives on taming sophisticated development pipelines.

Key Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years experience in project management or build and release managementDetailed understanding of branching, configuration management, testing, build and release processes for sophisticated softwareTechnical understanding of development tools, source control, and continuous integration build systems, e.g. Xcode, GitHub, JenkinsStrong analytical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate abstract ideas clearly, and independently manage complex project objectivesExceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audienceProven track record to work effectively with multiple partners across a highly-matrixed, multi-functional organization

Description

The Build and Release EPM works closely with Engineering, QA, and Build Engineering teams to define and navigate the build and release processes for Apple apps. You will: Work with Engineering teams to track PRs from merge state to a successful build Work with QA to ensure proper testing and signoff happens on each of the changes Work with Build, Integration, App Store teams to resolve issues ASAP while communicating the resolution times with app teams Provide regular reports on submissions and releases Manage build configuration requirements throughout the software development lifecycle Define and enforce policies and processes to ensure successful builds and releases Manage risk in the release endgame leading up to customer launch Effectively communicate program status to leadership and multi-functional teams

Education & Experience

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent technical degree is required, with a minimum of 3 years of equivalent proven

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $132,300.00 and $241,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
